H1A and H1B excursion to Yidaki exhibition at the Museum

H1A and H1B children went on an excursion today – Monday 20th June, We went to the SA Museum to see the Yidaki Exhibition. Yidaki is the Eastern Arnhem Land word for Didgeridoo. There were so many things to see, hear and feel. Some interactive displays had us feeling the vibrations of the yidaki through our feet while watching them be made and played by Aboriginal people. We then looked at the other Aboriginal areas in the museum before looking at some of our favourites such as the Giant Squid, the Egyptian room and the mammals of the world area. It was such a wonderful day with many passers by commenting on our children’s manners and great behaviour. Thank you to all who helped and organised such a fantastic learning experience for our children.
