North East Hiragana Competition

On the second of November we went to the North East Hiragana Competition. Our team consisted of: Felicity, Alicia, Anthony and Kazu. We competed against 10 schools, including us. There were three rounds of this competition with video breaks in between, we were asked to read Hiragana characters, some with ten ten and maru, and we were also asked to read out Japanese words. If we answered correctly we would get one point.

After two hours we finally got our results on who had won. We came first, for the first time! We all got medals and two trophies (the trophies being displayed in the office). After our victory dance we ate lots of sushi and popcorn, and got some lucky dip prizes. We were very happy and decided to celebrate with juice boxes (lots and lots of juice boxes).
