In H1A our Year 1’s have been learning about light and sound. Our class has learnt that objects need to vibrate for sound to occur. We have experimented with songs, balloons and yesterday with instruments, to work out how to make each instrument vibrate and produce sound. We discussed where we felt the vibrations, how we could stop the instrument from making sound, how to make high or low sounds and noted our observations. Above are some pictures of us during our experiment. Later this term will consolidate this learning with an excursion to the South Australian Museum. Exciting learning in action!
